on a boy who hangs out with
three friends, Cabbot Robert
and Hillary and Harriet, the

“My
goal was to create a story
that was not only filled with
fun and imaginative characters,
but also to teach valuable
lessons at the same time,”
said Nybo. “If readers
will plug into the characters
the way I’m hoping,
the book will teach them how
to deal with social pressures
and self esteem issues in
a fun and positive way.”
And fun

clogging cows, annoying salesmen,
skateboarding babies, Gary
the Ghost, Hillary and Harriet
Horne, Julius the Janitor
and a whole lot more.
Accompanying
the book is also a music CD
with songs written and performed
by The Bassics.
“The
music CD was meant to complement
the book the same way a soundtrack
complements a movie,”
commented Nybo. “Like
the book, the songs were written
to convey a positive, upbeat
message of hope and self-belief.”
Nybo is
also actively involved in
the community with his book.
Over the past two years, he
has visited over 35 schools
delivering a message of self-esteem
and belief in one's dreams
to the children.
"I
really enjoy being with the
kids," said Nybo. "It's
definitely my favorite part
of the whole project."
Residing
in Layton, Utah, B.J. Nybo
is a happily married father
of five boys who are largely
the inspiration behind Elmo
Jackson. Along with his writing,
Nybo also enjoys motivating
young people. He has spoken
to thousands of youth and
has appeared on local television
and radio programs as well.
Nybo’s message primarily
focuses on positive self esteem
and belief in one’s
dreams.
